General information about Sochi

Sochi is a city that runs 145 km along the Black Sea coast. Being a part of the Caucasian Riviera, it is one of very few places in Russia with a subtropical climate - hot summers and mild winters. It is Russia’s  largest resort city, an important transportation hub and the economic and cultural centre of the Russian Black Sea coast. In 2014, Sochi hosted the XXII Olympic Winter Games. The city offers wonderful climate, clean sea, fresh sea air, unique landscape, and the lush southern flora.
